Hector Del Curto has been performing worldwide for over 12 years with Pablo Ziegler, the longtime pianist of the legendary Astor Piazzolla´s Quintet. In 1994, Hector Del Curto joined Pablo Ziegler´s quintet with Horacio Lopez, Oscar Giunta, Quique Sinesi and Pablo Ziegler.

Quintet for New Tango (1994)

In 1999, Mr. Ziegler´s performance at Carnegie Hall with his Quintet for New Tango was videotaped for broadcast on PBS which aired it for 6 months. Guests for this performance included the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Gary Burton, Joe Lovano and Argentinian singers Maria Graña and J.A.Trelles. In this concert the New York Times highlighted Mr. Del Curto´s artistry, making special mention of his "wistful, piercing solos on the bandoneón."

Quintet for New Tango (1999)

Since 2002, Hector Del Curto has been performing with Pablo Ziegler´s quartet every year at Jazz Standard in NYC with guest artists, including Paquito D'Rivera, Stefon Harris, David Sanchez, Randy Brecker, Gil Goldstein, James Carter, Edmar Castañeda, Dave Samuels, Nestor Torres, Harry Allen and Kenny Garret.

With Mr. Ziegler, Hector has performed numerous renowned venues and festivals throughout the United States in recent seasons, including Carnegie Hall, the Savannah Music Festival, San Francisco Jazz Festival, Blue Note, Jazz Standard, Chamber Music Albuquerque, Cape May Music Festival, American Theatre, UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, the University of Texas-Austin, Music in the White Mountains with North Country Chamber Players, the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in Maryland and the Ravinia Festival.
